Ashley Darby Shows Her Enormous Backyard with Lush Landscaping: “So Thankful”
The RHOP cast member revealed she was “still working on [her] weed-whacking technique” in her outdoor space.
Back in February, we caught up with Ashley Darby on The Real Housewives of Potomac as she prepared to move out of her shared home with her ex-husband, Michael Darby, and relocate to a new house in Arlington, Virginia.
“I am so excited,” Ashley said in an interview on Season 7 Episode 17, which aired on February 5. “I walked through the door [and] I literally felt like I was at home.”
While Ashley did purchase the home with Michael, she clarified in the episode that she was making the home very much her own. “Because [Michael and I] are still married and buying this home, we are 50/50 owners,” she shared. “I think Michael and I are in agreement that this is Ashley Darby’s property, and Ashley Darby’s property only.”
Since Ashley and her two sons, Dean and Dylan, moved into the home in October 2022, she’s been keeping us updated on the details of her house, recently showing off her backyard space.
Ashley Darby’s Backyard and Landscaping Details
On July 17, Ashley took to her Instagram Stories wearing a strapless hot pink sports bra, matching color leggings, white Converse sneakers, and a sun hat. In the video, the mom of two pushed a huge lawnmower back and forth, showing how she was keeping the grass cut over and around the stone steps that lead to the backyard patio. “The rain finally let up!” she exclaimed over the clip, celebrating the clear weather that allowed her to do some backyard cleanup.
More videos showed Ashley continuing her journey around the yard, cutting the grass near the kids’ “playground” and further showing how enormous the yard truly is, with spaces near the fence containing plenty of lush green plants and trees. “So thankful,” she wrote over the third video as she worked her way through the whole space.
Ashley then took two more videos. The first showed her using a weed-trimming tool to get some of those stubborn areas by the fence. “Still working on my weed whacking technique,” she quipped over the video.
In the second clip, Ashley used a pair of gardening shears to clean up an area of plants. “Thanks for doing yardwork with me today,” the Virginia mom wrote over the Story she set to George Benson’s track “Breezin’.”

Earlier in the summer, Ashley revealed the delicious “first” that happened in her backyard space.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on June 20, the “Coffee and Love” singer stood outside with Dean and proudly squeezed a tomato.
“This is the first tomato that just came off of our plant,” the mother of two shared. “It’s pretty soft.”
Ashley then showed the ripe fruit to her little assistant gardener and let him hold it. “This is our first tomato, Dean! Our first tomato. We grew that tomato! You and me. High five, dude.”
