Ashley Darby Shows the Beautiful "Little Oasis" in Her House: "I Take Full Advantage of It"
"I love it so much," the RHOP cast member shared about a special part of her new home.
Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac has documented Ashley Darby settling into her four-bedroom house with her sons, Dylan and Dean, and it turns out the home is even more incredible than we thought. In the video above, Ashley gives a new look around "Seaside in the City," including the beautiful backyard.

"This is my little oasis," Ashley says in the video as she shows her outdoor space, which has a spacious play area for her little ones.
"My kids, I had to get them a playground," Ashley shares. "They can play here. They love this playground set...They have used it every single day. Sometimes twice a day."
They're not the only ones. As Ashley sits on one of the swings, she explains, "Thankfully, this swing can hold an adult, and I take full advantage of it. I love it so much."
The backyard also includes an impressive garden, which Ashley has taken great pride in since moving into the home. In a June Instagram Story video, Ashley detailed an exciting gardening accomplishment. “This is the first tomato that just came off of our plant,” she said. “It’s pretty soft."
“This is our first tomato, Dean! Our first tomato,” Ashley told her eldest son while letting him hold it. “We grew that tomato! You and me. High five, dude.”
When Dean questioned the orange color of the tomato, Ashley explained, “It’s meant to be red...It’ll turn red soon as it ripens."
The following month, Ashley noted in a separate Story that maintaining her outdoor space was a work in progress. “Still working on my weed-whacking technique,” she quipped.
The backyard is big enough for entertaining, as RHOP viewers saw on Season 8, Episode 2 when Ashley hosted a housewarming party. Ashley was beyond excited to show her castmates her new digs, and they were impressed, to say the least. "This is really pretty," Gizelle Bryant said. Mia Thornton added, "This is beautiful! Girl, this looks like Pleasantville."
Wendy Osefo declared, "Your house is serving."
Ashley Darby opens up about her new house
When moving into the house, Ashley ensured the design of the home would feel different from the former apartment she shared with her ex-husband.
“The inspiration for the decor is coastal chic,” she explained on the Season 8 premiere of RHOP. “Previously, living in my penthouse, it was really dark. The finishes were really dark gray and brown, and so I wanted it to be light and airy, very natural tones with blues and greens and tans.”
“I love it," she continued. "It’s really just my little slice of heaven.”
