Josh Flagg’s Plan for His Disastrous Childhood Dream Home Involves...Buying Another House?
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent revealed how he feels about the property in the Beverly Hills Flats today.
Josh Flagg is starting to have some regrets about buying his childhood dream home sight unseen.
How much did Josh Flagg pay for his house?
As Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles fans may recall, the agent purchased a property on North Bedford Drive in the Beverly Hills Flats for $9,295,000. Josh, who grew up in Beverly Hills, had loved the home since he was a kid, but he didn't actually go inside of it until after he closed on the property.
As a result, he didn't know that the interior was virtually ripped down to the studs.
While he had some mixed feelings about all of the work that the home was going to require to get it back to a livable state, he opened up about his exciting plans for the property during a recent exclusive chat with The Daily Dish.
"I bought a house without seeing the interior. Probably not the most intelligent thing, but I love that house," Josh said, before sharing that he plans to buy another property nearby. "I'm probably gonna buy another house — a done house. I'll probably keep the house on Bedford and then I'll build that. And then when I'm done with that, I'll either move into that one or I'll sell it — sell it for space."
Josh Flagg's disastrous childhood dream home
On Season 15, Episode 3 of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Josh and his close pal/castmate Tracy Tutor took a look at the latest property in his real estate portfolio.
"I've loved this house since I was a child," Josh explained in an interview on the episode about why he was willing to buy the home without going inside first. "And, by the way, I'm not alone. It's one of those beautiful houses that everybody walks by and is like, 'Oh, my God, it's so perfect.' I waited my whole life to see the inside of this house. Suddenly, the plot has changed."
As the agents looked through the home, Josh realized just how much work it was going to take for it to be up to his standards.
"At least there's nice crown molding," he dryly joked, which you can check out by watching the clip at the top of this post.
As he shared in another interview, renovating the home will take at least a few years.
"This is not a nine month project," he said. "This is going to be, well, a three to four year project."
