Max Dubrow has checked off some major milestones lately. Heather Dubrow’s daughter is now in her second year at Tufts University and has bravely opened up about her journey with anxiety, helping others who may be struggling with the same. Not only that: The college student has become quite the musician!
On the heels of releasing her first single — a cool, moody track called “Mildly Wasted” — Max is getting major accolades for the song. And of course, her proud mama is first in line to sing the praises of her daughter’s, well, singing!
Heather Dubrow reacts to “Mildly Wasted”
In an August 22 Instagram post, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom shared a short clip from the “Mildly Wasted” video. The clip showed her daughter’s profile against a pitch-black backdrop. Max was wearing a black hood and a slick of lipstick.
From there, a few bars from the new song played. The name of the track flashed across the screen, along with Max’s name. In Heather’s caption, she explained exactly how she feels about the tune. “[Max Dubrow’s] new single just dropped and it’s INCREDIBLE!!!” the champs lover wrote in part. “I’m so proud of her for having the confidence and the courage to chase her dreams… And yes, it’s been on repeat in our house!!”
In the comments, Max responded to her mama’s endorsement. “[I] love you!!!!” the singer wrote. “Thanks mommy.”
Max Dubrow announces her new single
This isn’t the first time Heather has shared her feelings about the new track. Max first teased the single via Instagram on August 18, when she also shared her song’s dark and mysterious visual. At the time, the RHOC cast member re-shared the sneak peek in her Instagram Stories, writing, “SO PROUD!!! & EXCITED!!!!”
Max’s little sister, Kat, is also a loud and proud fan of the new bop. “NO ONE IS READY FOR THIS,” Kat commented on Max’s August 18 post, before leaving a series of heart and flame emojis. “YESSSSSSSSSSSS… ATE.”
Max Dubrow reveals the inspiration behind her track
Max shared some insight on her song in a TikTok video posted earlier this month.
“Hi, so I’m putting out a song in the next two days called ‘Mildly Wasted’ by me, Max Dubrow,” she said of the song, which is out now. “And it’s about getting cheated on and not being able to love after that and hurting the people in the process. So follow for updates.”
