Brittany Cartwright “Adopted” a New Little One: “Welcome to The Family” (PICS)
The Valley cast member showed off the new addition to her family. Read on to meet the baby creature.
Brittany Cartwright is officially a cat mom! The Valley cast member is the mom to a 3-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, and two dogs — Kingsley and Monroe — that she shares with her ex, Jax Taylor. But now Brittany has a new baby to call all her own.
Brittany took to her Instagram Story over the weekend where she shared three photos of their brand-new kitten, Lola. In the photos, the tortoiseshell and white spotted cat can be seen wearing a lavender collar, sitting on top of Brittany's countertops in her Valley home, playing in her new cat bed, and hanging out on the white plush carpet in Cruz's room.
Brittany also took to the caption of each post, where she introduced the kitten to all of her Instagram followers. "Cruzy and I adopted a kitten today," she wrote, revealing that she adopted the baby cat from a Los Angeles-based cat rescue. "Welcome to the family Lola."
Brittany is so excited about the kitten, and Cruz seems to be loving her, too. But, she also revealed that her two dogs are not necessarily as enthusiastic about the new addition to the family and asked her followers for some advice. "You guyssssssssss I'm in love," she noted. "Working on the dogs to feel the same way lol. If you have any tips please write them below."
Brittany's love for the new kitty is so apparent, and it certainly helps that Lola is photogenic, too. "Lola Pearl," Brittany wrote over the final photo of the cat. "Okay one more......for now."
Brittany Cartwright says this has been her "hardest year"
Lola can also bring some comfort to Brittany, as she has been going through her "hardest year" of her life amid her divorce from Jax. Brittany appeared on Bravo's Hot Mic podcast, on Nov. 11, where she revealed more details about her separation from her former partner.
Brittany took to the comments of a clip from the podcast, posted to Bravo's Instagram page, where she gave more insight as to why she wanted to share her side of the story, now. "This has been the hardest year of my life, and this is just part of my story," she wrote. "At the end of the day, I am learning as I go and trying to be as strong as I possibly can for my son. I hope I can help other women who go through things like I have gone through, to find their strength, because it's no where near as easy as it looks."
Brittany Cartwright says she wants to "have fun" amid her divorce
Brittany welcoming a new pet to her family is just part of her rebuilding her life amid her divorce. During her appearance on Hot Mic, Brittany admitted that she is still single, but she is interested in dating, too.
"I think I deserve to be treated nicely and have fun — like that will help me," she said. "I definitely need to heal. I'm not trying to be in a relationship, have a boyfriend right now. But flirting and getting attention and just having fun, and I think it's fun."
