Fredrik Eklund Just Bought a “Beautiful” Apartment in NYC: “New Beginnings”
The MDLLA and MDLNY alum showed off the interior and exterior details of the "special" purchase in the Big Apple.
Fredrik Eklund has a new home in Manhattan.
"I just got the keys to the new apartment at 64 University [Place]… It’s always such a special feeling buying a new home full of new beginnings," the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and Million Dollar Listing New York alum captioned a September 20 Instagram series that showcased the apartment. "New York is always a home to me. This building is very special as I signed the very first contract after having worked on it in pre-development for years with the team. I just knew how beautiful it would turn out."
Fredrik went on to share details of the exterior and interior of the stunning abode, which he noted was designed by Kohn Pederson Fox and fit in "perfectly with the history of Greenwich Village."
The gorgeous, neutral palette of the interior was complemented by subtle, chic design elements and furniture. The balcony also featured an incredible view of the city landscape with several plants and greenery surrounding sleek yet laid-back patio furniture.
"I’m so grateful and happy," Fredrik concluded in his post.
Where does Fredrik Eklund live now?
In addition to his new NYC residence, Fredrik, who sold his Beverly Hills home for $10 million in June, moved his family to a new Miami home in 2023.
“We’re so [excited] for this new chapter,” the realtor, who shares twins, Milla and Freddy with his husband, Derek Kaplan, wrote in a July 2023 Instagram post. “I do need to be closer to New York where the business is bigger than ever."
In August, Fredrik again took to his Instagram to reflect on the recent move. “To be honest with you our very first week in Miami has been overwhelming,” he captioned an August 2023 Instagram post. “Moving across the country is a lot."
He added: "In all the big moving- and transition stuff there’s been a lot of beautiful emotions too. Taking the kids and sending them off to their first day of school in their little uniforms (I didn’t cry!), endless sunrises and sunsets over the beach, Pura Vida’s açaí-bowls in the tropical heat, the animals at Jungle Island...”

In addition to his family's Miami abode, Fredrik also has a county home in Connecticut.
Over the past few months, we've gathered a few glimpses of the stunning house, including a peek at his dreamy kitchen with pink quartz and a black marble-flecked island and countertop with wood cabinetry with black and gold hardware.
We also saw Fredrik's backyard in various Instagram Stories from earlier in the summer, revealing the home's expansive grassy area ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun.
