MJ Javid Shares a Rare Look Inside the "Mood" Working at The Agency with Mauricio (PICS)
Proof Shahs of Sunset real estate agent Mercedes "MJ" Javid couldn't be happier working for RHOBH husband, Mauricio Umansky.
Mercedes "MJ" Javid has been loving her career in real estate. The Shahs of Sunset cast member joined Mauricio Umansky's real estate brokerage, The Agency, as an agent in March 2023. And since then, she has been singing the praises for her boss and her job. The mom of one took to her Instagram Story at two different points throughout this week, where she gave her followers a look inside what it's like to work for The Agency.
In the first photo posted to her story, MJ captured a snapshot of her bright red The Agency branded coffee cup, with a single cookie sitting on top of the lid. Even real estate agents need a mid-day pick-me-up, and MJ definitely knows this to be true.
"Mood," she wrote over the photo of her snack.
In the second photo, posted to her story on Aug. 29, MJ captured a moment of Mauricio speaking at The Agency in front of her. Although it is unclear what Mauricio was speaking about, he looks super fired up and in full business mode. MJ chose not to caption the photo, letting Mauricio's presence speak for itself.
MJ Javid Reveals What It's Like to Work For Mauricio Umansky at The Agency
MJ appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in January 2024, where she gave an update on her career and revealed what it's like to work for Mauricio. "I love being at The Agency, it's incredible," she said.
"I love being busy as a real estate agent. It's amazing for me," she added.
It helps that Mauricio's passion for real estate is practically contagious. "I have a lot of interaction with him," she revealed on the WWHL After Show. "We have meetings every week. You can text him and he's a phone call away. He's so amazing. We're really the best players in the game."
This isn't the first time that MJ has spoken about her job. During a Renovators vs. Realtors panel at BravoCon 2023, MJ revealed that you have to have a very specific mentality to work for The Agency. "The mantra is no a--holes," she said. "That, you'll see when you walk into our offices. I love that mentality."
MJ said that she's learned to have "no ego" in her job from Mauricio. "You go the extra mile," she noted. "You don't check your watch to see how early or late it is. You do what you need to do to make the client feel like you are their number one trusted confidante. Period."
