In the clip above, Fredrik Eklund refers to fatherhood as “an incredible gift.” At the time, Freddy and Milla — the twins he shares with his husband, Derek Kaplan — were just turning a year old. Their dads feted them with a beautiful bash that included plush giraffes and plenty of cake. And as Fredrik proved in a recent Instagram post, life has been pretty sweet ever since. His post shows a gorgeous updated photo of the kiddos, who are now 6, and answers an important question: Does the Million Dollar Listing New York agent want another kid? Let’s dive in.
Fredrik Eklund shares new photos of his kids and shares if he wants more kids
In a July 24 Instagram post, Fredrik dropped a carousel of photos from Stockholm’s Grand Hôtel. The pictures showed his little ones living their best lives at the posh property, wearing striped pj’s as they took in the views from a private balcony.
It’s no wonder these two have perfected the art of posing for vacation photos. Freddy and Milla have been globe-trotters since they were toddlers. The twins have taken five-star vacations in destinations ranging from Aspen, Colorado, to French Polynesia. Fredrik and his son once took a special “Dada & Freddy” trip to Greece, and Milla joined her dad in his native Sweden in 2021.
Now that both of his children are in Sweden, it seems like Fredrik is feeling sentimental. So sentimental, in fact, that he put a pointed question in the caption of his post. “Is this a good time to have a third?”
Why Fredrik Eklund Makes a Point to Travel with His Kids
If Fredrik and Derek do have a third kid, they’ll need another set of luggage. In the past, Fredrik has shared why it’s so important to him to travel with his kids.
Before he jetted off to Sweden with Milla, he said, “Today we’re embarking on something really special. A father and daughter trip to Sweden! When I ask other parents for advice people always say a trip like this is the best memory they have. Quality time alone to bond and seek adventure together. They grow up so fast so a trip like this I’ve dreamed about for a long time.”
Two months later, when he traveled alone with his son, the super agent took to Instagram with another heartfelt caption. “Freddy’s been talking about this trip ever since I took Milla to Sweden by myself in July,” Fredrik wrote on Instagram.
His post continued: “[Freddy] is still a 3-year-old but I know how important this trip is for both [of] us for quality time and bonding and for him to feel super special. I can really recommend something like this as time flies and before you know it they are off to college.”
Fredrik Eklund’s Other Big Moves
In addition to contemplating a third child, Fredrik has made major strides in his career and personal life lately. Back in July, he announced that he was renting out his Beverly Hills home and moving to another sunny locale: Miami!
Shortly after announcing his move, the agent confirmed that Amir Lancaster had joined The Eklund | Gomes Team. The Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard cast member celebrated the big news via Instagram on July 13, when he posted a photo of himself standing alongside Fredrik.
Amir isn’t Fredrik’s only cross-franchise colleague. The Real Housewives of New York City’s Erin Lichy works for Douglas Elliman as part of the New York team, which Fredrik helps lead.
