RHOP's Ashley Darby got real about being a mother to her two sons at BravoCon 2023.
Ashley Darby's sons are growing up before our eyes, and the doting mother opened up more about what it's like to parent Dean and Dylan during a "Mother's Night Out" live interview at BravoCon 2023.
Her relationship with her boys will be shown as Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac as it premieres on Sunday, Nov. 5, but she gave an update about her parenting style at BravoCon. Read on for details.
Ashley Darby Is "Parallel Parenting" Dean and Dylan
"So, my children’s father is a fantastic dad," Ashley said. "He’s a phenomenal dad. But we are now doing something called parallel parenting. And it just works better."
Elaborating, Ashley added, "You’re less involved with each other. It’s all about the kids. Because he is a fantastic father."
"Parallel parenting" is also something Vanderpump Rules' Lala Kent is doing with the father of her daughter. She told Andy about the arrangement on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in April 2022.

Madison LeCroy also opened up about co-parenting during the live interview. The Southern Charm star has a 10-year-old son, Hudson.
"Honestly, it was just super organic, and I think that’s what made my decision so clear that I wanted to marry my husband," Madison said at BravoCon 2023. "Because of the relationship that he does want with my son, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. So I got really really lucky."
Ashley shared that sentiment gives her "so much hope" for her own life.
How do the Bravoleb mothers juggle it all? The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Rachel Fuda admitted it's not easy.
"I think the number one thing is to give yourself grace," she answered to the fan question at BravoCon. "Like, don’t put so much pressure on yourself."
Kate Chastain of Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate also agreed she's had very real struggles with her new son.
"You can’t pour from an empty cup, so it’s like very tempting to keep going and sacrifice yourself, but take time for yourself," Kate advised the audience.
