Jackie Goldschneider Opens Up on Her Estranged Sister: "We've Never Known Each Other"
The RHONJ friend said that her estrangement is "a completely different situation" from Danielle Cabral's own family issues.
Jackie Goldschneider knows what it's like to be estranged from a sibling, but she's still not understanding what exactly went wrong between Danielle Cabral and her brother.
On The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13, newbie Danielle has discussed how she stopped speaking to her brother after he criticized her Instagram posts. She says that after she blocked him on the app, he got upset, and he disinvited her from his wedding.
Jackie, who has long been open about the fact that she does not talk to her sister, later questioned Danielle's story for one major reason.
"I know what it takes to get to that point where I wouldn't even bother anymore," Jackie said to Danielle on the March 28 episode of RHONJ. "That's why it didn't make sense."
The Weight of Beautiful author elaborated on her perspective during the April 18 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"It's a completely different situation," she explained about how she can't compare her estrangement from her sister to Danielle's family matter. "It's not like I was best friends with my sister and then I stained her favorite shirt and now we don't talk to each other or know each other's kids... We've never known each other. We've had fight after fight and, eventually, as adults, we just cut each other out."
Jackie still has doubts about Danielle's estrangement from her brother because the two were once, as Danielle herself said, "very close."
"They were best friends, and then an Instagram block made them completely separate their lives?" Jackie added. "It doesn't make sense, and I think it's OK to question it."
Danielle's relationship with her brother isn't the only thing that Jackie has questioned on Season 13. During the February 7 premiere, Jackie critiqued Danielle's outfit for looking like it just came out of the hamper, and she later called the Season 13 addition a "Clearance Aisle Snooki." On The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show, Jackie shared that she did initially want to connect with Danielle about their family issues.
"I actually wanted to see if I could have a friendship with Danielle,” Jackie said. “I actually really wanted her to look at me through a different lens, and there was never any chance of that.”
