Yolanda Hadid's Daughter Bella Shares Update on Lyme Disease Journey

The RHOBH family has been open about their journey with Lyme disease over the years.

Bella Hadid recently shared an update on her health and journey with Lyme Disease, which she was diagnosed with several years ago. The model, along with her mom, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Yolanda Hadid, and her brother, Anwar Hadid, have all also been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

After opening up about a tooth infection, Bella noted that "this made my Lyme flare up, which means the Lyme is attacking the places that are suffering ie tooth, jaw, guy, brain, spine, bones etc oh, and the entire nervous system," according to E! News. She continued, "Any minor trauma to the body whether it's physically or mentally can cause Lyme to flare up. My jaw has been so inflamed, and would flare up/inflame randomly when I was/am overly stressed or over working. Some days it's okay! And some days are difficult. But when my jaw/nerves started to hurt on an aggressive level; it just went 0-100. And now we're here!"

She then shared an update on how she is doing: "I am okay though. I feel better when I'm riding. (And after starting 2 rounds of antibiotics) (that in itself is a wild ride) I think my horses just really take my mind off the pain."

While Yolanda hasn't recently shared an update on her own ups and downs with Lyme disease over the years, she did reveal in August 2022 that she had at some point around that time had a relapse.

She later revealed the ways she tries to combat symptoms and discussed the ways she handles the emotional ups and downs. "Even though my mind doesn’t always allow me, my intent is to always see the light…. all I really want to do is succeed and be healthy! I am sure you all feel the same," she wrote in one Instagram post, adding in another, "In emotionally turbulent times when you don’t know what to do, do nothing….Take time to be still until you get answers….Disconnect from the noise to ground and connect to our beautiful earth- our god. I always have to remind myself that all the answers are right here within myself and that through prayer and meditation I will find them."

No matter what is happening in Yolanda's life, she always notes her three kids (including Gigi Hadid) are her priority.

"Before I had children I thought life was all about my career and making money to be financial[ly] independent, success was the measurement of my happiness and accomplishments," she wrote on Instagram. "Then I gave birth and learned about unconditional love and what an honor it is to raise these 3 extraordinary beings. The journey of motherhood, the everyday commitment it takes to teach and shape good and kind children, leading by example and selflessly loving them pure and complete for all that they are…….. without a manual to tell you how to do it, we learn as we go, making mistakes yet always striving to be the best mother to these amazing souls that came through me…. I feel super blessed today and grateful for this journey!!"
