Ramona Singer Is “Building Up” Her Strength After Her Lyme Disease Diagnosis
The RHONY mom is sharing a personal update on her health.
Ramona Singer is using her time in self-quarantine to focus on her health. The Real Housewives of New York City cast member, who was diagnosed with Lyme disease earlier this month, says she’s working on “building up” her strength while self-isolating in Florida with her family.
Just days after confirming that she was being treated for Lyme disease, Ramona revealed that she was “voluntarily isolating” herself amid the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. She later confirmed that she wasn’t self-quarantining alone, but rather hunkering down with daughter Avery Singer and ex-husband Mario Singer.
While enjoying spending quality time with her family, the RHONY entrepreneur also says she’s getting some much-needed rest and taking the necessary precautions to protect herself, particularly since Lyme disease is known to weaken the immune system. “If I have to recuperate anywhere and build up my strength, this is the place,” Ramona told PageSix of her ongoing stay in Florida. “So I’m doing great.”
Ramona went on to add, “I’m getting a lot of rest because when your immune system is lower, you need a good nine hours of sleep. You need to not push yourself, which for me is a little hard to do. I’m used to being active nonstop, but I’m doing it. And I’m isolating with Avery in Florida and we’re doing great.”
Ramona has been open about how she’s been handling her Lyme disease diagnosis over the past few weeks. Earlier this month, Ramona shared how her fellow RHONY ‘Wives reacted to her diagnosis. "We may fight like crazy people sometimes and get angry, but when someone is down and out, we really for each other, so they’ve rallied around me,” she said of her castmates.
