Guerdy Celebrates Major Milestone in Her Health Journey: "Getting My Groove Back" (PICS)
RHOM cast member Guerdy Abraira offers a new look inside her life today as she marks one year in remission after her cancer diagnosis.
Guerdy Abraira is ready to party. In fact, The Real Housewives of Miami cast member did just that earlier this month when she hosted an inspiring and glam "Celebration of Life" event at The Sanctuary Mimo in Miami. The event comes as she continues to find herself healing and thriving following her 2023 breast cancer diagnosis.
The party took place on Oct. 22 and it was attended by those who have supported her throughout her health journey, and you can be that included her husband Russell. The celebration was hosted by The Knot, a leading all-in-one wedding planning resource, and we have an inside look inside the fabulous party.
“It will be one year since ringing the last treatment bell," Guerdy shared with The Daily Dish via email. "So this party was a celebration of life and optimism as I redefine myself and settle into my ‘new normal’.”

The evening was filled with special touches and luxe ambiance that celebrated Guerdy in this exciting chapter of her life, dubbed Guerdy 2.0. The event was filled with music to party to, tasty food to dine on, and ended with a gift bag that included a cookie featuring a photo of Guerdy promoting her new website at guerdyfy.com.
"IN MY ME ERA…just a party to celebrate life!" Guerdy said on Instagram about the glamorous bash. She added in a separate post, in which she also thanked her vendors and party-planning partners in creating the epic bash, including The Knot, "Last night…I celebrated life and health! YOLO."

Of course, Guerdy has a lot to celebrate as she continues to find healing in the year since she completed her camcer treatment. You see, Guerdy is now one year in remission.
“I am feeling amazing and getting my groove back (physically and mentally) after recovering from all of my six surgeries, plus chemo/radiation treatment this past year,” Guerdy added to The Daily Dish.
Now, there's a reason to party if there ever was one.
