Shannon, Katie, and Gina Shed New Light on *That* Health Scare in London
Shannon Storms Beador's friends came to her rescue on the RHOC Season 18 cast trip to London, and now they're looking back at the funny moment.
On Season 18, Episode 16 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, fans learned that Shannon Storms Beador was having some health issues during her trip to London.
More specifically, she hadn't gone to the bathroom in days — but luckily, she got by with a little help from her friends, who went out of their way to procure her an enema.
While being interviewed during a recent visit to Bravo HQ, the women were happy to recall the trip, including Shannon's unfortunate situation. Katie Ginella, for her part, explained, "Gina [Kirschenheiter], Jenn [Pedranti], Shannon and I took a separate bus to something. Shannon's taking forever, and she finally comes down and she's extremely constipated. So, I helped her get an enema. And I almost helped her administer it."
Suffice to say, "We got close that day," Katie added.
Gina shared a similar sentiment, stating during her own interview at Bravo HQ, "We really did. As insane as it was, we had a good time."
What happened during Shannon Storms Beador's health scare in London?
During the RHOC Season 18 episode, Shannon confided in her friends that her stomach was upset. "There's a bit of a bloat going on," she said.
In a confessional, she explained a bit more: "I have not gone to the bathroom in days. And I'm having some pains. I'm backed up," she said.
The next morning, there still hadn't been movement. "I just need an enema. They shoot it up and then you go right away," Shannon told the women after having to get out of their sprinter van to breathe for a minute.
Back at the hotel, Katie came to her rescue with the requested medical supplies (and was even nice enough to offer to help administer them). Nevertheless, Shannon could handle it on her own — and was ultimately successful. "I feel like I had a baby this morning," she joked at dinnertime.
The RHOC cast reflects on the Season 18 trip to London
Although Shannon said beforehand that she was "so excited to go to London with everyone," the trip was ultimately a miss — and not just because of her health snafu. That said, the ladies did have some fun. Shannon was also able to see her twin daughters, Stella and Adeline, while across the pond, and plenty of laughs were had among the women.
"It's an amazing city," Gina concluded.
