What Unique Wedding Gifts Did Luis D. Ortiz and Fredrik Eklund Give Ryan Serhant?
The #MDLNY newlywed reveals what the Big Apple fellas got him to celebrate his big day.
When Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis said "I do" back in July, Luis D. Ortiz made sure he didn't miss the nuptials, held in Greece. He also made sure to bring his high-energy personality. "He was fun. He brought some flair to that wedding," Emilia told The Daily Dish. "He brought some flavor," Ryan added. "He had a great time."
Luis enjoyed every moment of his time spent abroad following his retirement from real estate earlier this year. "He loved Greece; he was traveling," Emilia shared. "He went everywhere, so it was exciting." While it has yet to be revealed whether Luis found some romance during the couple's big day, Ryan is certain that his break-up with real estate has left Luis a changed man. "He loves not working," Ryan said. "He stayed there for a while, I think, for a reason." (Hmmm...)
As Luis has proven during his tenure on MDLNY, he's a guy who speaks and acts from the heart, and his wedding gift to the Serhants certainly came from a heartfelt place. "He got us something really, actually very unique and very Luis. He brought from New York like a box [with a framed, handwritten note in it.] He didn't write a letter about himself; it was a letter written to us in beautiful handwriting. Very cool."
Emilia even found a special place to keep it. "It was beautiful. Visually, it's beautiful. The words were beautiful," she said. "I have it my house in Greece. I kept a few things there. I have a house in Athens, so I wanted to have some stuff and I kept wedding gifts there."
While Fredrik Eklund was not physically there, his happiness for the pair was felt from afar. "They sent us their wishes. [His husband] Derek [Kaplan] sent us his wishes," Emilia said. "And that means more to me than a gift, so it was really nice."
