The MDLNY Guys Officially Welcome Kirsten Jordan to the "Fam": "We Have a New Shark in Town"
MDLNY's first female broker "hope[s] to inspire women to be ambitious and welcome new opportunities with open arms."
According to Ryan Serhant, "we have a new shark in town" and her name is Kirsten Jordan. Kirsten joins Million Dollar Listing New York when Season 9 premieres this May as the franchise's first female broker.
In the trailer for the new season of MDLNY, Ryan teased a bit of what Kirsten is like, noting that she's "tough as nails," but now we're hearing more from Kirsten herself. She opened up about joining the MDLNY fellas on Instagram.
"It’s official! I finally can share with all of you that I am the newest and FIRST FEMALE (pinch me!) cast member of @bravotv’s Million Dollar Listing New York Season 9. I have been brimming with excitement since the beginning of 2020 feeling so much pride about this news. As the first woman of this New York franchise and mother of three, I hope to inspire women to be ambitious and welcome new opportunities with open arms -- you never really know how one 'yes I will try that' will change your life. Thank you to everyone who supported me to make this moment happen. Here’s to my husband @stefano.farsura who has supported me, my family and friends who know I have been preparing for this role my entire life, the entire cast for enthusiastically welcoming me into the season, the producers for reminding me to bring my energy every day, and @Douglaselliman for showing me what it feels like to be a queen," Kirsten wrote.
Ryan's wife, Emilia Bechrakis Serhant, also showed her support in the comments, writing, "Yes girl we can’t wait!"
Fredrik Eklund also popped up in the comments, writing, "Welcome to this dysfunctional family, love you." Tyler Whitman added, "So happy for you!!"
Steve Gold shared a message about the new season, teasing it with a fire emoji, adding a message for Kirsten: "Welcome (officially) to the fam."
Fredrik and Tyler also teased a bit about what fans can expect when the new season premieres this May. "It’s been a wild year and the cameras were there for it all," Tyler wrote. Fredrik kept his tease short and sweet, "MAY 6th. SEASON 9. OKAY?!!"
