The Below Deck Captains Reveal Their Most and Least Favorite Crew Members
Captains Sandy Yawn, Lee Rosbach, Glenn Shephard, Jason Chambers, and Kerry Titheradge confessed their answers on WWHL.
All five Below Deck captains (!) came together for a special episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on November 1, and you won’t believe what Andy got them to reveal.
Captains Sandy Yawn, Lee Rosbach, Glenn Shephard, Jason Chambers, and Kerry Titheradge all confessed after Andy asked, “Who is your favorite and least favorite crew member you’ve had on each of your shows?”
Captain Lee spoke up first, admitting that Dane Jackson, a deckhand who appeared on Season 3 of Below Deck, was his “least favorite.” Choosing the crew member who was memorable for positive reasons, however, was more difficult — until Andy suggested Eddie Lucas and Kate Chastain. “Yeah,” Captain Lee responded. “They’re in the top two.”
Below Deck Mediterranean’s Captain Sandy was up next, and while she was more hesitant to name names, she ultimately revealed that her least favorite crew member was “the chef” who “quit and then came back, and then quit again.”
“I think you can guess who that is,” Captain Sandy added. (Ahem, Season 6’s Mathew Shea.)
As for Captain Sandy’s favorite? “They’re all great, honestly,” she said. “I don’t have a favorite, but I can tell you who my favorite chef is… it’s Dave [White] this season. He’s unbelievable.”
Captain Sandy was followed by Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Captain Glenn. “It’s hard to pick a least favorite,” he said. “Parker [McCown] quit — he gave up — but I love the guy. And favorite, that’s really tough. I’ve got a dream team.”
If he had to pick, though, it would be chief engineer Colin MacRae. “Colin’s such a great guy,” Captain Glenn added.
Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason had only one season’s worth of crew members to choose from, but he was able to drop a couple names. “Least would have to be Ryan [McKeown], for sure,” Captain Jason said. “Favorite, Aesha [Scott], for sure. Tumi [Mhlongo], very close second.”
Last but certainly not least was Below Deck Adventure’s Captain Kerry, who told fans to stay tuned in order to learn which crew member was his least favorite. “I don’t think I have to put it on anybody,” he said. “I think you’ll all know who that is.”
