Leave it to Kate Chastain to have the most genius Halloween costume ideas. The Below Deck alum isn't afraid to get her hands dirty when it comes to decorating her son's nursery, or putting the finishing touches her Florida home for the holidays. So it's only right for her to get really into Halloween, especially when she's channeling another famous Kate.
The mom of one took to her Instagram Story earlier this week, where she showed off her Halloween costume from many years past. In the photo, Kate can be seen in a super chic, green dress, looking as fabulous as ever with a huge smile on her face. Her honey blonde hair looks pristinely done and she seems so happy. Kate's friend, who posted the photo, revealed that the snapshot was taken in 2008 (making it 16 years old... oh my God!), and that Kate was dressed as the supermodel, Kate Moss.
Although it's unclear which of the model's iconic looks that Kate Chastain was recreating, it is very apparent that she looks amazing. You can't deny that she has got some serious flair.
Kate Chastain's First Halloween with Son, Sullivan Cay
But, it's just a little unclear what Kate Chastain will be dressing up as this year for Halloween — if she will dress up at all. Last year, her son, Sullivan Cay, was just five months old in October when he celebrated his first Halloween.
Kate took to her Instagram Story at the time, according to People, where she revealed that Sullivan was dressed up as a little parrot for Halloween. In a photo, posted to her Instagram Story, Sullivan could be seen wearing a blue and green parrot costume, with his head sticking out of the bird's beak.
"100 percent showing these photos to his first date when he's a teenager," Kate wrote over the adorable snapshot at the time.
Sullivan also donned a captain's shirt earlier that same month, when he made his TV debut on Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate. The little boy donned a mini-captain outfit while being held by Captain Lee Rosbach on the show. "He dressed up for you," Kate told Captain Lee at the time.
Kate Chastain admits motherhood has been hard on her
But, raising Sullivan as a single mother hasn't been easy for Kate. She told The Daily Dish in July that she thought raising a child was "slightly more difficult than having a dog" and she underestimated just how tough it would be.
"It surprises me how much it affects every possible aspect of your life," she said. "Driving, eating, sleeping, everything. But what's also surprising is you don't even mind because you love them so much."
"I thought I'd be super prepared to be a mom," she added. "So I was like, everybody says it's hard, but not everybody has worked on yachts...And let me tell you, being a mom is way harder."
