"Hello, my darlings. Thank you all so much for the kind and warm wishes that you sent to us. This is our sweet baby born today," Ashley said in the clip following her delivery in the hospital as her newborn son rested on her chest. "He is absolutely incredible and amazing, and we're over-the-moon excited."

Ashley went on to say that she can't wait for her new family of four, including husband Michael Darby and son Dean, whom they welcomed in July 2019, to be all together. "Michael just left the hospital to go be with Dean and give him some loving," she shared. "And it's crazy how much I miss my son right now. Even though I'm so happy and so blissful with this little guy, I just want us all to be together as a family, and I know it'll happen soon. I just miss him so much."

Ashley ended her message by showing her gratitude for all of the love and support she and her family have received. "So, thank you again. I love you all. I cherish you so much. And this journey of motherhood just really keeps on getting better," she gushed. "Much love, babes."

Ashley first announced that she was expecting in a post on Instagram in September 2020, which showed how excited she, Michael, and Dean were about welcoming the new addition. The Real Housewives of Potomac family later shared that they were expecting another baby boy in a lovely video on Instagram in November 2020.

Just as she did when she was expecting Dean, Ashley kept fans updated on the highs and lows of her most recent pregnancy, from proudly showing off her gorgeous baby bump to some of the health issues she's been experiencing this time around. "I have arrhythmia anyway, where I would just get these sporadic moments of my heart beating abnormally, but now it happens more consistently and it happens for a longer period of time," Ashley shared in a video in her Instagram Story in January. “It just is a little worrisome, because I didn’t experience that with Dean.”

“When people say every pregnancy is different, gosh darn, if it’s not true,” Ashley continued. “With Dean, I had excessive swelling, I was even more tired than I am now, but maybe that was also because I didn’t have a toddler to run around after. And I ate a lot more. With this baby, I’m not quite as hungry, and I have longer durations of energy. But yes, this arrhythmia is the big one. But no swelling, OK. I don’t have tree trunks for legs, and it is nice.”

Ashley shared in her Instagram Story toward the end of her pregnancy that she was "feeling more and more pregnant each day." "The last 4 weeks of pregnancy are like the last 5 miles of a marathon," she said.

Of course, taking care of a toddler with another one on the way hasn't been easy. "Being pregnant and having a toddler is no joke," Ashley said in the above clip from The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, which was first shared exclusively with Bravo Insider. "In addition to the fatigue of this little human zapping all of the life out of me and taking all of the nutrients that I consume, I'm running after Dean."

But all in all, Ashley couldn't be happier to have another little one at home. "I see why people have like eight kids. They're the best," she said. "The fact that we can have another little Dean is really exciting."
