You Need to See the Spooky & Romantic Way James Kennedy Decorated His Bedroom for Ally
The Vanderpump Rules DJ surprised his girlfriend Ally Lewber with gorgeous yet ghoulish decorations.
James Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, have a lovely new home. (You can see their former abode in the clip above.) Back in June, the Vanderpump Rules DJ announced: “I actually just bought a house... James Kennedy’s a homeowner.”
The musical pro went on to share that the property is in the Valley. “It’s a three-bedroom, like, little gray home,” he said proudly. “It’s got a pool in the back. It’s got a dream studio.” Since then, James shared plenty of updates about his "little gray" dream home.
Over the summer, James and Ally had a festive pool party replete with a Something About Her float. (The float paid homage to Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix's forthcoming sandwich shop of the same name.) Earlier in the summer, Ally had shared a peek at their idyllic backyard and pool deck, which was filled with lush white flowers and palm trees.
But now that the season has changed, the couple is sharing a cozier look at their new home, and at their Halloween decor.
James Kennedy decorates the bedroom with Halloween decor for Ally Lewber
Though Halloween may not be the most lovey-dovey holiday, James managed to infuse it with a little romance this year. In his October 8 Instagram Stories, the DJ showed himself filling the bedroom with hanging candles. The video also showed a decorative tree in one corner, which was covered with bright orange leaves and fairy lights.
"Setting up these cool fall lights for [Ally]," James wrote in the caption, adding a pink-heart emoji.
Shortly thereafter, he returned to Instagram Stories to announce: "This is taking forever." But the effort was well worth it. The final result, as James' later Stories showed, was about as cozy and romantic as Halloween can be.
The finished bedroom didn't only have glowing candles hanging above the bed. It was also bathed in spookily chic purple lighting and had Harry Potter playing on the TV. Ally seemed impressed with the romantic gesture: In her own Instagram Stories, she shared a look at the decor along with emojis shaped like hearts, a ghost, and a crescent moon.
This isn't the first time James' abode has been decked with Halloween decor. In a previous Los Angeles pad, the DJ had an illuminated pumpkin and miniature witch cauldrons along the windowsill in his living room. There was also a corner table with a spooky little ghost and another prop pumpkin.
