Sai De Silva Details Her Vacation Home Renovation: "Caviar Taste and Tuna Fish Budget"
The RHONY cast member explains why her upstate house remodel is taking "way too long."
On The Real Housewives of New York City, Sai De Silva proudly represents Manhattan's neighboring borough Brooklyn in a chic townhouse (watch the video tour above). In addition to her Brooklyn residence, Sai also owns a property upstate and recently revealed the details of a serious renovation.
"Welcome to my upstate home reno that is taking entirely way too long due to my caviar taste and tuna fish budget," Said joked in the caption of a November 12 Instagram post that showed various images of the renovation. "Here’s a photo dump of things in the home that make me happy."
In the photos, we were quite frankly enthralled with the changes Sai has already made to the space. It appears the New York native painted the walls of her high-ceiling living room a beige color and furnished the space with cozy contemporary furniture. She also included beautiful carved wood side and coffee tables and showed a sneak peek at an eye-popping overhead light fixture in the room.
Elsewhere in her photos, we spotted a jaw-dropping gray-and-cream marble mantle, a stunning new professional-grade stove and range, and a gorgeous new bathtub with a waterfall-like tile design that seamlessly spread from the sides of the tub to the floor.
Details on Sai De Silva's Brooklyn Townhouse
When she's not fixing up her upstate abode, Sai is living her best life at her Brooklyn townhouse she shares with her husband, David Craig, and their two kids, London and Rio.
“I’m very excited to have you guys here because there is more to New York than just Manhattan," the fashion influencer said in the above video tour.
We can see Sai's penchant for a cozy-contemporary aesthetic reflected in her family's main home, with a clean white kitchen, a round, art deco-style bar cabinet, cream-colored walls, a gray sectional sofa, and more.
In 2022, Sai told Brooklyn Magazine about the importance of her returning to Brooklyn to live since she was born and raised in the borough, saying how it "always had [her] heart]."
Moreover, Sai discussed its benefits, stating, “It’s right by the city so I can easily hop back and forth, and the neighborhood is trendy while still having a small-town feel.”
