Candiace Dillard Bassett's Mom, Dorothy, Has Strong Feelings About One Item in Candiace's Home
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member’s mother took her to task for something she's "been talking about" for a while.
In the video above, Candiace Dillard Bassett took us through her $1.1million home that has six beautiful bedrooms, a two-story foyer, and a chic living room.
There’s one part, however, of the home that The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member was especially excited about.
"When I walked into this house when we first toured this home, I was just wowed by this kitchen," Candiace said of the gorgeous room. "This is my U-shaped kitchen...we congregate in our kitchen. Like, we eat here, I'm known to find myself sitting on the island with a libation."
"This is where we hang out," she added. "Having a huge, grand gathering space was really important to us."
Though she loves her kitchen for entertaining purposes, there’s one aspect of the space Candiace has a bit of an issue with — and it turns out so does her mother, Dorothy.

On Season 4, Episode 4, which aired on November 26, Dorothy came over to Candiace’s home for a bit of mother-daughter dishing over some white wine. Before they headed outside for some gabbing, Candiace first had some cleaning up to do.
After Candiace loaded some dishes into the dishwasher, she input dish soap into the receptacle. Then, curiously, she drenched soap all over true top of the dishes that were sitting on the racks, causing Dorothy (and us, to be honest!) a little taken aback (it also elicited a bit of a chuckle, too).
Candiace further explained the reasoning for her extra dish soap activities.
"You know this dishwasher is not very good so I have to, like, put the soap on it," Candiace explained, to which Dorothy responded, "Well, you've been talking about it...you've been talking about both of them for three years now," seemingly speaking about Candiace's second dishwasher which is located as a part of the kitchen island.
"I know," Candiace lamented. "I need to buy new ones."
"So maybe I need to get you two new ones for Christmas or something," Dorothy replied. Candiace, however, had another idea.
"Can you get me, like, a tour gift?" she asked, referencing her Deep Space tour of her music. "You can get me a 'Congratulations' gift."

On the Season 6 premiere of RHOP, we got even more details about the “Drive Back” singer’s s 10,500-square-foot house.
Candiace explained that her new home is "a little bit of a sanctuary," and we definitely concur with her sentiments. In the video you can watch above, you can also see a full look at the rest of Candiace’s stunning house, which includes the “homey but fabulous” dining room and the spacious living area the R&B songstress noted has a “French chateau” vibe.
