Sonja Morgan is "getting work done" on her Upper East Side townhouse. The beautiful home is a part of The Real Housewives of New York City history. Over the years, Bravo viewers have seen the Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake cast member and RHONY alum host fabulous garden parties there. And, on the flip side, they've also heard about her real-estate woes.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City on October 1st at 9/8c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

During Season 12 of RHONY, Sonja confessed, "At this point, this [townhouse] is nothing more than a financial drain, an emotional drain. I want to be footloose, fancy-free. I have worked so hard to get to this point. I don't want to be house-heavy."

She added: "Now that my daughter is in college, I certainly don't need all this house for one person. This place is ready to be taken on by a new family and make it their own."

However, after doing a massive renovation on the home and listing it for $10.75 million in 2020, Sonja's plans to sell it went awry. After living in a Columbus Circle apartment for two years, “I had to move back to the townhouse because I rented the apartment while this [townhouse] was rented, but when the pandemic struck, forget it! This wasn’t rented or sold. I had to move back here," Sonja said on a Season 12 episode of RHONY.

She added: "If no one’s renting the townhouse, I can’t be shelling out cash every month to rent my little pied-à-terre in Columbus Circle... I am a guest in my own house until this gets rented or sold." And as her recent post proved, she's in it still.

Sonja Morgan shares an update on her NYC townhouse

While she's at the townhouse, Sonja figures that she may as well beautify it even more. In an October 1 Instagram post, the New York mom shared a few pics from the inside of the storied home.

"Getting work done," she wrote. She clarified, "Not that kind of work," and added a hashtag that spelled out housework

The photos showed a peek at some gorgeous furniture, including a sleek coffee table, cream-colored chairs decked with fuzzy pillows, and a cherry-wood armoire with gilded ornamentation. Sonja also used the photos to show off her comfy kicks. In the snaps, she put her feet up to display her Minnetonka Moccasins.
