Jennifer Aydin Reveals a Shocking New Upgrade to Her New Jersey Mansion
The RHONJ mom is loving her home's new fixture, despite the "stigma" attached to it.
Jennifer Aydin's Paramus, New Jersey, manse famously boasts 18 bathrooms, and when the holidays roll around, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member decks her halls with five dazzling Christmas trees. This all goes to say that little will shock us when it comes to the extravagance of the Aydin family home, but Jennifer's latest upgrade is one even we didn't see coming.
"I got a stripper pole," the mom of five revealed to Bravo Insider. "At first, I frowned upon it, but let me tell you, the amount of exercise that they get on that thing is beyond me... I got on up there once or twice and it is an arm workout, OK? It is a core workout. So, I feel like, aside from the stigma of it, it really is great cardio." (She's in fabulous company: The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Whitney Rose also has a workout pole in her Utah home.)
Although Jennifer noted that "everybody" in her house uses the pole "for exercise," it was actually her son, Justin, who first requested the fixture. "My oldest, who is 16, he was saying that his friends were saying it would be cool if they had a stripper pole... They’ll have big parties, and they’ll put [on] a strobe light... My youngest son [Christian] can do tricks on it. He thinks he’s Spiderman and goes upside down, and he climbs up it. The upper body strength that you need to do that — I’m so impressed. I’m like, 'Let’s go on the stripper pole again!'"
The pole isn't the only upgrade Jennifer has made to her house recently. In January, she shared a peek at her gleaming new gold-and-white marble countertops after redoing her kitchen. "I got on the marble bandwagon," Jennifer shared. "The gold, it’s fun... It’s really a piece of artwork. I’m very happy." She also redecorated her entire first floor, and zhuzhed up her basement which, she noted, made it "look so much more homey."
She's not done yet. Next, the fashionista plans to turn her formal dining room into "a cozy family room slash den, because, you know, we weren't eating a lot in there," she said, adding, "There’s always a project."
