Jacqueline Laurita’s Daughter Ashlee Holmes Malleo Reveals Where Her Mom Is Moving out West
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum’s daughter is coping with her family relocating across the country.
It’s official: Jacqueline Laurita is going back to where she came from. Well, sort of. Despite being born in New Jersey, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum spent much of her life in Nevada — it’s where her daughter Ashlee Holmes Malleo was born! — and then relocated to New Jersey with Chris Laurita in the early 2000s. But as we learned from Jacqueline this week, she’s moving back out west for a new adventure, and Ashlee confirmed just last night that her parents are heading home to Nevada.
“Today, I watched my family get on an RV to move back across the country to Nevada,” Ashlee captioned a photo of Jacqueline’s RV leaving yesterday, alongside a similar image of Ashlee standing next to an RV when she was moving out to New Jersey. “This time, I won’t be joining them on the adventure. Ending this chapter of my life has been incredibly difficult for me, but I could not be happier for my family and their new beginnings. I don’t know if I’ll ever end up back West. For now, my story is meant to continue here in New Jersey... but you bet your ass I’ll be visiting!”
Ashlee also gave her 251,000 Instagram followers a lengthy tour of the home she grew up in — and where RHONJ filmed frequently for several seasons — with Miranda Lambert’s song “The House that Built Me” playing in the background. The result was super emotional for everyone watching… we’re not crying, you’re crying!
According to Zillow, the 5,674-square-foot home is currently still for sale with an $1.875 million price tag. The Lauritas are reportedly facing foreclosure proceedings on the property.
Ashlee, however, denies that this is the case. Replying to a commenter on her mom’s moving day Instagram post who suggested they were moving because of the foreclosure, Ashlee replied, “That’s actually false. But okay lol.”
In another post to her Instagram Stories, Ashlee wrote on a photo of Jacqueline and Chris' RV driving away, "It's not goodbye. It's see you soon. I love you all. Have a safe trip home."
