Denise Richards Says Spirits Want Her Family "Out" of Their Malibu Home
"My kids hear things, see things," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member said of the eerie situation at her new home.
As Denise Richards explained on an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills earlier this season, she recently moved into a stunning Malibu home "after months of living in hotels." However, her family isn't exactly feeling settled in the new abode.
"The weirdest s--t happens to me and I was told that our house is built on a burial ground. My kids hear things, see things, Eloise says there's bodies underneath the bed," she said on the show's July 29 episode. "The spirits who crossed, they want us out. I know people are gonna think I'm f--kin' coo coo nuts, but there's some truth to that, OK?"
The house, featuring a "very open concept," as she previously described, is "on over two acres and it's a beachy feel even though we're not on the beach. "
Finding a permanent residence hasn't been easy for Denise and her husband, Aaron Phypers. After the Malibu house they previously resided in was impacted by California's Woolsey wildfires, they temporarily rented a different property in the beach city but had to pack up and move again after the house flooded.
Although she may not feel a warm welcome within the home just yet, she has taken the opportunity to transform it into the dreamiest entertaining space. On the show's May 6 episode, Denise decked out her outdoor space with wood tables, string lights, a pizza oven, a sleek white bar, and a massive ice sculpture for a glam pizza party. "You always have to have a little sparkle," Denise said at the time. "Even if it's casual."
