Pink's Husband Took the Kids to a Bar Because He Didn't Want to Cook — And Instagram Has Feelings
"Bar food for the win," Carey Hart wrote.
Look, even if you're literally a judge on Bravo's Top Chef, you know that getting kids fed can be a major pain at the end of a long day. Sometimes you just can't deal with cooking. And that's when you round up the kids and take them to a bar... at least if you're Pink's husband, Carey Hart.
This week, the former pro motocross competitor confessed to over 800,000 Instagram followers that he was just too tired to cook — and therefore he scooped up Willow, 7, and Jameson, who is almost 2, and took them to a bar for some comfort eats.
"Dinner w/ these two knuckle heads while mama works,” he captioned a shot of the kids happily getting their grub on at a table, with bar stools and glassware (and 21-plus patrons) in the background. He used the hashtags, "IWasToTiredToCook” and “#BarFoodForTheWin.”
Since the internet is the place where people go to ruthlessly comment on other people's parenting, you might think fans attacked the famous dad for his decision making... but you'd be wrong.
Hart won the hearts of his followers, who totally related to the normalcy of the move — and also appreciated the transparency on a medium that often lacks it.
Just a sample among the commenters' effusive sentiments: "Love the normalcy of this not so normal family. The BEST."
"You’re a great Daddy!!"
"Two cool kids right there! Thanks for sharing. But now im hungry and dont wanna cook either."
"Love it!"
"Bar food is the best food!"
"You guys are the best parents! Keeping it real."
"Real life. Love it!"
"This is why I adore you & @pink you're both so real and amazing parents!"
Aw, so let's call this a win-win-win — for Dad, for the kids, and for an atmosphere of support and positivity where you might not expect it.
