Will Mercedes Javid and Asa Soltan Rahmati Ever Be Friends Again?
MJ gives an update on where things stand now with her onetime #Shahs bestie after their reunion drama.
This season of Shahs of Sunset has been full of drama, but even so, we never saw this conflict coming. Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Asa Soltan Rahmati had a heated exchange during Part 1 of the Season 5 reunion Tuesday night after MJ's mom Vida said on Watch What Happens Live in May that Asa shouldn't be using Shahs of Sunset to sell her kaftans.
Both MJ and Asa said they didn't want to continue their friendship in a way that seemed like neither was supportive of the other. But now that it's been a little more than a month since the Shahs cast gathered to film this season's reunion, have the onetime buddies cooled down at all?
Apparently not, according to MJ's appearance on WWHL Tuesday (clip above). "Can I say she will never produce a shred of truth of me ever?" MJ told Andy Cohen after a clip of their argument from the reunion was played. "She will never have my friendship back. She's already pandered for it off-camera. She is completely off-base. What she did was she got offended from a backhanded compliment from my mother, and then she decided to go on this weird haze campaign."
MJ went on to say that Asa may not always be as chill as she seems. "I underestimated her as a human being. She gets to go, like, 'Oh, yeah. Peace, love, everything.' Completely disappointed," MJ added.
Asa proudly defended the promotion of her professional endeavors on Twitter Tuesday night.
While we wait to see whether or not MJ and Asa can patch things up in the future, it looks like another member of the Shahs crew won't be feeling the love when Part 2 of this season's reunion airs Wednesday, August 3 at 10/9c. Check out a preview, below.
