Southern Charm Newcomer Salley Carson Sheds Light on Her "Weird" Connections to the Cast
The South Carolina native has few things in common with her castmate Taylor Ann Green.
Salley Carson may be a Southern Charm newbie, but she’s no stranger to the cast.
Weeks before the Season 10 premiere, the Charleston beauty caught up with BravoTV.com to share more details about her background and links to the Southern Charm crew.
“I’m connected to the group in a lot of weird ways,” she said with a laugh. “Late-night acquaintances.”
Salley Carson's dating history has similarities to Taylor Ann Green's
Salley’s comment was a cheeky reference to her romantic ties with Taylor Ann Green’s current beau, Gaston Rojas, and Taylor's ex, Shep Rose. Salley touched on the connections in the newly released Season 10 first-look.
“Taylor’s new boyfriend is my ex,” she told Madison LeCroy and Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo. “And, like, I slept with Shep.”
The preview also provided a taste of Salley and Taylor’s tense exchange involving Shep, who was romantically involved with Taylor from 2020 to 2022.
“I dated Shep for two and a half years,” Taylor told Salley. “Ya’ll just f-cked.”
Salley's Romantic Link to Southern Hospitality's Joe Bradley
But Salley’s Bravo connections didn’t end there. The robotics technician previously appeared on Southern Hospitality Season 2, which documented her brief fling with Joe Bradley. As viewers know, the romance ultimately fizzled after Joe discovered Salley had lied about kissing Gaston right before their date.
Joe spoke about the drama in a January interview with Us Weekly.
“As soon as I think that I had this awesome girl …. she’s from the South, and she is talking about her family. I’m like, ‘Oh, I found a good one with this one,’” Joe recalled. “And then she makes out with [Gaston]. … I consider Gaston a close friend, now especially… If I made out with a girl hours before going on a date, I wouldn’t go on that date. I don’t have that in me. I was frustrated, but I didn’t call him up and be like, ‘Hey man, I’m cooking for Salley tonight, don’t make out with her.’ So I can be mad at him.’”
When does Southern Charm return?
Southern Charm Season 10 will premiere at 9 p.m. ET, on December 5 on Bravo. Salley will be joined by returning cast members Taylor, Shep, Madison, Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, Venita Aspen, Jarrett “JT” Thomas, Rodrigo Reyes, and Leva Bonaparte, as well as fellow newcomers Molly O’Connell and Ryan Albert.
