Whitney Sudler-Smith Self-Isolates with Mom Patricia Altschul Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
The Southern Charm matriarch confirmed that her son is staying at her home.
Patricia Altschul recently shared a hilarious peek into her self-quarantine situation with her beloved butler, Michael, and her many dogs. But it turns out there’s someone else also hunkering down at her expansive Charleston home during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak: her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith.
The Southern Charm matriarch recently confirmed that Whitney is staying with her during the pandemic after an inquiring fan asked about his whereabouts. “He’s here with me, thank goodness,” she wrote on Twitter.
Patricia explained that the trio have been staying inside her mansion, dubbed the Isaac Jenkins Mikell House, and practicing social distancing for nearly three weeks now. “Michael, Whitney, and I have been self-quarantined since March 6th,” she wrote, adding, “Whitney can do his work from Charleston.”
While the mother-son duo are sticking close to home these days, that doesn’t mean that Whitney has stayed completely away from the rest of the Southern Charm crew. Earlier this month, he celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with castmates Austen Kroll and Craig Conover — albeit at a safe distance.
Austen shared a photo of their mini celebration, in which they sipped bourbon while sitting several feet apart, alongside the caption, “St. Paddy’s has a different vibe this year.”
That may be true, but we’re glad to see the whole Southern Charm family is doing what they can to stay safe!
