Vicki Gunvalson Will Not Return to The Real Housewives of Orange County
The Coto Insurance owner is stepping away from the show after 14 seasons.
Vicki Gunvalson has announced that she’s leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County. After 14 years on the show, the Orange County mom confirmed that she won’t be returning to the franchise next season.
Vicki, who has been a mainstay on the show since Season 1, announced her decision with an emotional and lengthy message on Instagram. “I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself. “It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want thank all of you for your support, for your love and for ‘whooping it up’ with me along the way.”
Vicki also gave a hint as to what’s next to her, saying that she will now be focusing on new projects that are “exciting, empowering, and inspirational.”
“My podcast with Westwood One will be launching soon and I will have much more to say about this on “Whoop it up with Vicki,” she wrote. “I hope you will join me with my new journey so please stay tuned.”
Since joining RHOC during its inception in 2006, Vicki has remained an active presence on the show, even after appearing as a friend during Season 14. Her tenure as a Housewife has proven to be a wild ride with plenty of unforgettable moments, from the iconic vacations to the dramatic feuds.
Throughout the years, fans enjoyed watching as Vicki’s family expanded with daughter Briana’s unexpected elopement to now son-in-law Ryan Culberson and the birth of her two grandsons. In addition to witnessing her navigate motherhood, fans saw her dive back into the world of dating and eventually find new love with fiance Steve Lodge after her divorce from ex-husband, Donn Gunvalson.
