Erika Jayne Defends Vicki Gunvalson Against Teddi Mellencamp: "Well..."
RHOBH's Erika Jayne weighed in on Vicki Gunvalson's long-standing feud with Teddi Mellencamp.
Erika Jayne may have developed a close friendship with with Teddi Mellencamp on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she's on Vicki Gunvalson's side when it comes to this moment on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18.
In case you missed it, Teddi popped up on RHOC Season 18, Episode 8 to help Tamra Judge host a Traitors-themed group party. Vicki rode to the event in the same car as close pal Shannon Storms Beador, and she sent a voice memo out while Shannon was in the middle of discussing her recent friendship issues with Tamra Judge.
Teddi discussed the RHOC moment during a recent episode of her podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, which featured special guest host Erika. Teddi, more specifically, noted that seeing Vicki on her phone "really pissed [her] off" considering Shannon was venting, but Erika soon came to Vicki's defense.
"Well, she had a client! I've seen you work too, Ted," Erika said on the podcast about why Vicki was justified to continue working in the car. "Teddi, I have seen you work."
Teddi then asked Erika why it was OK for Vicki to be doing work while Shannon was "pouring [her] heart out" in the car.
Erika's response? "She's heard it a million times, I bet that's why she's over it," she said.
What happened between Teddi Mellencamp and Vicki Gunvalson on RHOC?
Long before Teddi popped up on RHOC to host The Traitors party, she embarked on a bit of a feud with Vicki during a panel at BravoCon 2023. So, things were already tense when it came time for the party on RHOC Season 18. There, Teddi welcomed all of the 'Wives to the event, "and Vicki."
Naturally, the moment upset Vicki.
The RHOC cast all talked about the moment during their respective visits to Bravo HQ, too.
"That just kind of slipped out of her mouth," Tamra said about Teddi's cold welcoming.
"I couldn't believe it," Jennifer Pedranti said, while Gina Kirschenheiter agreed that it was "definitely not funny in the moment" because Vicki "was not feeling that."
"I didn't think it was very nice," Shannon agreed.
Where do Vicki and Teddi stand today?
According to Tamra, Vicki and Teddi aren't on good terms. When asked about the pair's relationship today, Tamra admitted in her Bravo HQ interview, "I don't think there is one. I think that Vicki just continues to trash her."
"She's just thirsty, as far as I'm concerned," Tamra added of former friend Vicki. "Vicki's been nothing but horrible to [Teddi] for no reason. She doesn't even know her."
