Vicki Gunvalson with Dark, Bouncy Curls Is a Dramatic Change-Up from Her Signature Style
This photo of The Real Housewives of Orange County alum with darker hair shocked us in the best way.
As far back as we can remember, Vicki Gunvalson has been a California blonde. Before her time on The Real Housewives of Orange County, however, the Illinois native's hair wasn't always kissed by the West Coast sun.
In a series of old photos you can peruse here, we spotted a photo of Vicki in her younger years. We were stunned to see the insurance business CEO wearing a light brown 'do with a Farrah Fawcett-like flip.
Though her bouncy locks weren't exactly a dark brunette color (compared to Don't Be Tardy alum Kim Zolciak's younger years), they were a darker shade than we've ever seen on Vicki; we might call it a light bronde or honey brunette.
Either way, we're obsessed with the style, as well, and think she should try the '70s-inspired look again sometime in the future!
Old Photos of Vicki Gunvalson on RHOC
In addition to that photo, we gathered several other old photos of Vicki over the years, including several shots of her various interview confessional looks since joining RHOC in 2006.
Much like the blonde color, Vicki has also seemed to follow a similar format when it comes to style: something of a shoulder-length shag.
Vicki Gunvalson's Housewives Journey
Vicki, who joined RHOC for Season 1 back in 2006, reflected on her journey over the years on a September 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "You know how much I love you and the legacy we built together," Vicki shared with host Andy Cohen on the episode. "We did this together as a family."
Moreover, during BravoCon 2023, Vicki was pleased to win the first Wifetime Achievement Award at The Bravos.
"I wanna thank my sisterhood of all my Housewife fans and friends and my cast members that I filmed with Season 1, oh my god...crazy — 18 years ago!" she gushed in a speech at the event in front of numerous Bravolebrities.
She continued: "Andy Cohen and Scott Dunlap for creating this franchise and for seeing something in me that I didn't see in myself. And this would not be possible without the fans who supported me and loved me through all the sh-t life that I've had and the good life that I've had, for loving and supporting me. It's not been easy."
She concluded her speech joking, "And I wanted to let you all know that I did not take a family van here to Vegas!"
