Scheana Shay's Latest Hair Transformation Is Giving Us Major Flashbacks: "Back to Dark!"
The Vanderpump Rules mom debuted her "new do" as her daughter, Summer Moon, reached an exciting milestone.
Scheana Shay is going back to her roots.
The Vanderpump Rules cast member hit up Instagram this week to unveil an updated hair look that some fans may have found familiar. Scheana teased the transformation in a July 12 Instagram photo taken at the Agence Salon in Monrovia, California.
“Back to dark!” she captioned the Story, which showed her longtime stylist/salon owner Erik Gutierrez working on her hair.

Scheana revealed the final look several hours after picking up her daughter from preschool. The video captured the mom sitting in her car as she showed off the darker locks that were straightened, layered, and styled with a middle part.
Although Scheana has rocked lighter hair for quite some time, she’s no stranger to the dark side. She donned a similar color during her early Vanderpump Rules days and has revisited the look several times throughout the past decade. During that time, the West Coast native has also donned a series of bolder hair colors, including everything from dusty rose to platinum blond.
“While [Summer Moon Honey Davies] was at school, [Erik Gutierrez] gave me a new do!” Scheana captioned the July 12 video, which showed her 3-year-old girl catching some Zs in the backseat.

Scheana documents Summer Moon's latest milestone
It’s been a week of big changes for Scheana and her family. A day before she switched up her look, the mother of one took fans inside her daughter’s first day of preschool. Scheana shared the big milestone in several Instagram posts that showcased Summer Moon’s adorable school ’fit.
“Summer Moon, what’s today?” Scheana asked her little one during breakfast.
“School!” the little one responded.
“Your first day of school! Are you so excited?” Scheana asked as her daughter went in for a hug.
Brock Davies shares his thoughts on Summer Moon's first day of school
Scheana and her husband, Brock Davies, reflected on their daughter’s new chapter in the July 5 episode of the Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast. The Vanderpump Rules mom was understandably nervous for the big day, while Brock was admittedly "excited."
“She starts next week,” Scheana said about her daughter’s first day of school. “I’m not ready. I can wait.”
“I can’t wait,” Brock interjected. “I’m so excited because it’s going to give her a chance to grow, it’s going to give her a chance to learn, give her a chance to interact, and have what she needs. Look, I love our kid but she doesn’t need to be running around and playing games all the time because she really enjoys focusing on subjects… and I can’t wait for her to have that consistency.”
