Ashley Darby Shares How Michael *Really* Reacted to Her Romance with Luke Gulbranson
The RHOP cast member shared how Michael reacted when he saw a picture of her with Luke at the Capitals game.
While it seems Bravo fans everywhere are “shipping” The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Ashley Darby and Winter House’s Luke Gulbranson, there’s one person who isn’t exactly the biggest supporter (yet) of the duo: Michael Darby.
Ashley announced her split from Michael back in April, and their initially amicable separation has become more complicated over time. The “Coffee & Love” singer connected with Luke at BravoCon 2022, and the pair has since documented a weekend in D.C. together and spoken publicly about their new romantic bond.
Ashley appeared on the November 17 episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, and she dished on how the Washington Capitals played a role in revealing her romance to her ex.
“It wasn’t until the [Washington] Capitals posted a picture of us on their Instagram… that went viral, so Michael has seen Luke,” Ashley explained, going on to share that she did contemplate taking the photo with the Summer House cast member.
“Well, Luke and I, we did a little conference. We were like, ‘Should we really take this picture?’ Because we’re both being a little private about this, you know?” she added. “So he was like, ‘Should we?’ And I was like, ‘Eh, why not?’ So we took the picture.”
The photo did get a lot of love on Instagram, but Michael likely wasn’t one of the people who gave it a like on the app.
“It’s probably not his wallpaper on his phone, that’s for sure,” Ashley joked about Michael’s reaction to the hockey team’s post. Ashley is moving on and exploring her new connection in a somewhat public manner, but she noted that Michael isn’t exactly pining after her.
“He’s also living his life too. Like, let’s be fair. He’s an attractive man — I know he’s a little older, but he’s still got his personality, his business is thriving… He’s doing his thing,” she said. “He’s floating like a butterfly.”
Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Ashley made a surprising comment about how she “definitely think[s]” she’ll get married again.
“I am a partnership person,” she shared. “I think that there is something to be said for learning how to coexist with somebody, as challenging as it is.”
Could Luke be the next one to coexist with Ashley? Time will tell.
