Melissa Gorga Predicts That Doing *This* with Teresa Will Be “Super Awkward”
Plus, the RHONJ cast member also found it “annoying” that Louie made a particular comment about her.
The fallout between sisters-in-law Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice has been teased for months, and fans are now starting to see exactly what happened between the family members on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13.
Following the Season 12 reunion, Melissa says she reached out to Teresa via text, and that the RHONJ OG responded a few weeks later to invite Melissa to her 50th birthday celebration in Mexico and then to a more intimate gathering at her house.
Both invitations were declined. Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, only saw Teresa and her fiancé, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, at Melissa’s ’80s roller skate party and later at the husbands’ charity calendar shoot on the Season 13 premiere.
In a preview of the February 14 episode, which you can watch above, Melissa and Joe pack up to get ready to fly out to Los Angeles. Melissa reveals that she’s been asked to present an award with her sister-in-law, but because they are “barely speaking,” Melissa is concerned that the awards show will be “super awkward.”
Meanwhile, Joe feels that Louie and Teresa were “super cold” at the calendar photo shoot, and Melissa reminds her husband that Louie called her “insecure” when he got together with Margaret Josephs and Joe Benigno.
“That’s a little annoying that he had something to say about me,” Melissa says. “Because out of everyone, I kept my mouth shut with him, and I feel like I really welcomed him.”
The Envy by Melissa Gorga owner explains that she invited Louie to her home when he “first came around” and she introduced him to her family before he met anyone else.
“Like, where did we go wrong?” she wonders.
Joe says he felt a shift when they attended Louie and Teresa’s engagement party. While Louie’s sisters and Teresa’s daughters were all sitting together at one table, Melissa and Joe found it “weird” that they were put at a “friend table” with their own kids.
“I’m so shocked,” Joe says. “I’m like, you’re my f--king sister — what are you doing? And it hurts me more.”
Joe’s next statement is a prediction that ends up coming true. As RHONJ fans likely already know, Joe and Melissa did not attend Teresa and Louie’s wedding.
“They’re probably going to go their way, and we’re going to go our way,” he adds. “And it’s sad.”
