UPDATED (June 5, 10:45 A.M.): Guerdy took to Instagram on June 1 to share that she underwent surgery following her breast cancer diagnosis. "THANK YOU to every single person for your words of support," she captioned her post, which included a video message. "[Y]ou guys are my GUERDIANS. All your prayers definitely got me through my surgery! The fight is not over as you know but just the beginning…but getting the surgery to remove the cancer at least was an emotional 'win' for sure."
In the video message, Guerdy told her followers, "Hi everyone, I just wanted to come on and just say thank you so much. Your prayers, I felt the love, I just want to tell you how deep and amazing and intense your show of love has been. And your amazing positive messages have been."
She continued, "Today was surgery and you know we came out on top, it looks like. So, we'll see what happens and we'll keep you posted as I get more developments with the results of the pathology stuff. But I just really wanted to tell you that not one message was not read, every single message was read, every single voice memo, every single DM, text messages ... so whether I replied or not I just want you to know that ... I wanted to thank you and I love you so much."

Guerdy Abraira has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Real Housewives of Miami cast member took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 10 to share the news. "In March, I found out some news about my health. I was in St. Barts having the time of my life when my doctor called me with results following a regular mammogram checkup. I have breast cancer," Guerdy began. "It took me a while to process it all and this is why I took a break from social media last month as many noticed. Many of you reached out to check on me and I am thankful for your caring gestures."
As for the next steps in the treatment process, Guerdy said she's now "preparing for my upcoming surgery."
"And then will come my treatment plan," she continued. "This process is definitely intense and what I ask of you is empowerment not pity. I will 'guerdyfy' this cancer as I guerdyfy everything else in my life. I am lucky that this breast cancer was discovered at an early stage — it is still scary of course, but I have love and support from those around me and that alone is the fuel that I need."
Guerdy concluded her statement with an important message for her followers: "For those who do not get health checks regularly, I urge you to. Your life depends on it."
Several of her fellow Bravolebrities were quick to show their support, including RHOM castmate Marysol Patton. "Awe Guerdy I love you," she wrote, adding a heart and a flexed muscle emoji. "[Y]ou've got this."
"You got this girl," Dr. Nicole Martin added. "We got this."
Sharing a similar sentiment, Kiki Barth commented, "Praying for you babe. [Y]ou got this."
Among those to also send encouraging messages were Summer House's Ciara Miller and Mya Allen, The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Shereé Whitfield, and The Real Housewives of Potomac's Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard Bassett.
As RHOM fans may recall, Guerdy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Russell, for nearly two decades. They have two sons together: Liam, 9, and Miles, 15.
Guerdy recently spoke to BravoTV.com about her impressive career journey and the various roles she currently manages — the main one being owning and operating her luxury event-planning and design company — and although there's still plenty she wants to cross off of her career goals list, her ultimate goal involves her sons.
“I just want them to be proud of me,” she said, “and to know that I gave it my all.”
