Rachel Fuda Reveals the Surprising Reason for John's Health Scare: “I Panic"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member opened up about what happened after her husband's scary reaction to a bone marrow shot.
On Season 14, Episode 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, viewers saw John Fuda suffer a terrifying reaction to a bone marrow shot during a guys' night with Joe Gorga, Frank Catania, Jeff Fessler, and Joe Benigno. Although he recovered quickly, the frightening moment still lives on for Rachel Fuda
During Season 14, Episode 13 of RHONJ, Rachel discussed how scary John's bone marrow incident was while hanging out with Danielle Cabral and Melissa Gorga. After the women showed up the Fuda house, they were thrilled to see John thriving.
"I thought you were going to die in my home!" exclaimed Melissa. Obviously, he lived ... but what happened when he left that night?
"So, after guys' night, I was adamant he go to the ER, and he would not go to the hospital," Rachel shared in a confessional during the August 4 episode. "So I found an allergist in the area and he went for a full allergy panel. They tested him for everything under the sun, and he was negative for all allergies. He's not allergic to anything."
Rachel then shared a new theory: When John was taking the bone marrow shot, "a hairline crack of the bone came off and got stuck."
"We don't know," she added. "But now every time he eats steak or shellfish, I panic."
What happened to John Fuda?
As for what exactly happened to John, during Season 14, Episode 12, his throat began to feel weird after he took the bone marrow shot during a gathering at Joe Gorga's house. (You can watch the scene in the clip above).
Soon after, his face started to turn red. "I'm having an allergic reaction," he said "I'm dying over here. Look at me. I'm f-cking dying."
Frank was concerned, asking the rest of the group, "Did you see his eyes swelling up and sh-t?"
While Joe Benigno tried to convince him to go the hospital, John refused. Luckily, the men called an ambulance, and he turned out okay.
