Was Monique Samuels Really Asleep at the End of the Lake House Trip?

With shocking rumors, husbands impersonating their wives (clip above), and T'Challa on hand to always keep things exciting, The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies' trip to Monique Samuels' lake house was certainly one for the books. However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and the getaway came to a conclusion in the September 13 episode of RHOP — but not without one last potentially shady moment for the road.

As everyone packed up their stuff and got ready to go, Candiace Dillard Bassett went to say goodbye to Monique and her husband, Chris Samuels. Though Candiace gave Chris a big hug to thank him on her way out, it looked like Monique had already fallen asleep on the couch before she could say goodbye. So, Candiace just gave Monique a friendly wave and headed to her car.

"It's definitely weird to me that Monique Samuels, queen of decorum, all of sudden is passed the hell out," Candiace said in an interview during the episode. "You're just asleep all of a sudden? OK. Sure."

Monique confirmed on Twitter as the episode aired that she was really "out like a light" in that moment. "At this point I’m completely EXHAUSTED!!!!" Monique tweeted. "These women wore me OUT!!!!!" 

She emphasized in another tweet, "I’m talking about KNOCKED OUT!!!!"

But like Candiace, Ashley Darby also wasn't sure if Monique's slumber was truly genuine. "You know, I know Monique was trying to get that Oscar there, but we all know girlfriend was not asleep. She was wide awake, OK?" Ashley claimed during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home After Show on September 13. "I mean, I was waiting for her eyes to start fluttering."
