Ashley Darby Reacts to Michael Complimenting the Other Potomac Husbands
"I love that my husband is comfortable in his skin to do that," the RHOPcast member said.
The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies and their significant others got together for what would become an unforgettable holiday party in the Season 5 finale.
One reason for that was the fashion with everyone serving up their best festive looks. Ashley Darby's husband, Michael Darby, even memorably complimented Wendy Osefo's husband, Eddie Osefo, on his appearance that night.
Ashley shared her reaction to Michael's compliments to Eddie during her December 6 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "My husband has no shame in telling someone if they're attractive. I feel like there's just so much homophobia, and it's just a toxic environment for anyone to express any sort of opinion about an appearance," Ashley said. "Quite frankly, I love that my husband is comfortable in his skin to do that."
Of course, Michael would go on to have a much more unpleasant interaction with another RHOP husband during the party when he and Candiace Dillard Bassett's husband, Chris Bassett, got into a confrontation.
Ashley also addressed Michael's behavior in that moment during her appearance on WWHL (clip above). "Michael, first of all, does not regret his actions. He feels as though maybe things were blown a little bit out of proportion," she explained. "But ultimately, Michael has had a really strong opinion about Candiace and Chris, mainly because Candiace and Chris have had a really strong opinion about him, and it all just culminated that night."
