Melissa Gorga Shares What College Life Looks Like for Her Daughter, Antonia
The RHONJ mom also took fans inside her son Joey Jr.’s first football game of the school year.
Antonia Gorga is surviving, thriving, and adulting.
It was just a few weeks ago when The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter left the nest and began her freshman year at the University of Delaware. While the change could’ve easily left Antonia feeling overwhelmed with nerves, stress, and homesickness, it seems she had no problems embracing her new chapter and all the responsibilities that came with it.
On Sunday, September 10, Melissa Gorga took to Instagram to share a quick update on her daughter as she navigates her first semester of college. The RHONJ mom posted a Story that showed Antonia and another student standing in a hallway with oversize bags on their backs. Antonia — who was dressed in a relaxed T-shirt, athletic shorts, and slippers — had a big ol’ smile splashed across her face and a bottle of detergent in her hand.

“These are the pics [Antonia] texts me these dayyssss,” Melissa captioned the post. “Laundry Day!”
It’s safe to assume the Jersey mom was feeling quite proud.
Melissa Gorga opens up about Antonia’s college journey
Months before Antonia’s high school graduation, Melissa spoke to People magazine about her daughter’s next chapter and how her family was anticipating the big move. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip alum said she was excited for Antonia’s college journey, but her husband, Joe Gorga, was in full panic mode.
“I’m like, good for her. Go, girl, go,” Melissa told the outlet. “Joe’s like, ‘All she’s going to do is party and drink and eat and [hang out with] boys. I’m like, ‘Joe, there’s actually education in college.’”
Melissa continued: “She needs to know what it’s like to wash her own clothes and buy her own detergent. I just think she needs that. I do everything for her. It’s good for her to be independent and learn who she is, so I’m excited for her. It’s going to be a huge change not to have her bossing us around this house like she does, but I think it’s going to be great for her.”

Although Antonia is now out of the house, Melissa has remained quite busy with her 15-year-old son, Gino, and 13-year-old son, Joey Jr.
On September 10, the Jersey ’Wife returned to Instagram to provide an update on her and Joe’s youngest child. The boutique owner re-shared a collection of photos that showed Joey Jr. on the football field as he and his team played their first game of the season. According to the Instagram caption, Joey Jr. and the Franklin Lakes War Eagles walked away with the W: “First game 1-0.”
