Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, always try to prepare their kids for life’s major moments — even if their well-intended guidance can get a bit awkward. (See the clip above to relive Melissa trying to have “the talk” with her then-15-year-old daughter. Insert embarrassed emoji.)
Now that Antonia Gorga is headed to college, Melissa and Joe have her back. In a recent Instagram post, proud papa Joe shared a look at how he and his wife are getting their rising freshman “ready” for college.

In the July 18 share, Joe included a photo of himself and Melissa with their recent high school graduate. “My two girls,” he captioned the post, adding a cute pink heart emoji. “Getting her ready for [U Delaware].”
In the photo, the three appear to be at a restaurant. (The venue actually bears some resemblance to the famous Rails Steak House, where many classic moments have taken place on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.) The Gorgas seem to be at a University of Delaware networking event in the photo, with clues including a name tag on Antonia and a university logo on the screen behind them.
As always, the family came to slay with their chic style choices. It’s not every family that has a boutique owner as its matriarch! Melissa wore a knotted sleeveless top in a hot pink hue, while Joe looked casually polished in an all-black look. Meanwhile, the college freshman-to-be rocked a fitted white T-shirt with a belted khaki skirt.
But are Melissa and Joe Gorga “ready” for Antonia to go to college?
Though Antonia seems ready for her next move, it’s still up in the air whether her parents are ready to let their firstborn go.
In a hilarious TikTok video, Antonia jokingly showed what happens “every time I try to leave the house.” Here’s a hint: It involves a lot of questions about where she’s going, who’s going with her, and what she’s going to eat. Melissa reposted the video, quipping “the usual” in her caption.

In all seriousness, both Melissa and Joe have expressed awe that every parent can relate to as they watch their little girl grow up. When Antonia turned 17 last August, her mom and dad both took to Instagram to reflect on how quickly time flies.
“A daughter may outgrow your lap, but she will never [outgrow] your heart. [H]appy birthday [Antonia Gorga],” Joe wrote.
Melissa shared a tribute of her own. “And just like that she’s 17!! [Antonia Gorga] you deserve every gift we give you. Thank you for making us proud every day and being such a sweet and kind girl,” the proud mom wrote. “We love you!!”
Antonia has another birthday around the corner — and it’s a big one! On August 12, she’ll turn 18.
