Fredrik Eklund’s Kids Just Experienced an Adorable First
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angelesalum shares the sweetest update on his family.
Fredrik Eklund is giving an adorable glimpse at what fatherhood is like for him and husband Derek Kaplan.
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and Million Dollar Listing New York alum has definitely been keeping busy with his family since announcing last month that he is leaving Million Dollar Listing, and he recently took to Instagram to reveal sweet moments with Derek and to capture a first-ever experience for their 4-year-old twins, son Freddy and daughter Milla.
"First time skiing with the kids! We’ve never been to Aspen before but instantly [fell] in love," Fredrik wrote in the caption of his post, alongside a heartwarming photo with Derek and the twins together on a snowy mountain in Aspen.
He went on to give details about the exciting family trip, adding, "Milla says it’s even more beautiful than the landscape in [Disney's] Frozen and Freddy’s asking why there is vanilla whipped cream everywhere lol."
Fredrik further opened up about how much the family getaway meant to him, adding in the caption, "The weekend brought back so many of my own old memories as a young child skiing: the sounds only the blindingly white snow can make if you stop and listen close enough, the endlessly deep blue sky behind the mountain peaks, the thrill of the undiscovered slopes as the sun is setting…the red cheeks and snotty little noses under the too tight goggles, the steamy pasta for lunch and maybe hot chocolate if you’re lucky, the relief of blood coming back to the feet after a long day in cold snow boots, the hot tub at the end of the day…Most of all being together. Thanks Aspen for the best weekend and all the warm sun!"
In addition to the lovely Aspen vacation, Fredrik shared a peek at Derek's spectacular birthday celebration, which came with an exciting surprise.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEREK!!!!!," Fredrik wrote in the caption of the February 19 Instagram post, alongside a series of the sweetest captures of the family celebrating Derek's birthday together with balloons, cake, and a surprise gift: a family trip to Africa!
Fredrik also expressed his love for his family with an adorable series of photos featuring his twins at Derek's birthday dinner, writing in the caption of his post, "I told Derek last night as we took the kids to his birthday dinner that there is nowhere else [I'd] rather be and with no one else than the four of us (even when they steal my glasses)."
