Lala Kent Explains Why She Rarely Takes “Pictures” with Her Daughter, Ocean
The Vanderpump Rules mom shared why she has limited pics with her little one, Ocean.
Whether Ocean is achieving new milestones or twinning in adorable ’fits with her best friend, Scheana Shay’s daughter, Summer Moon, mama bear Lala Kent often shares updates on her daughter’s life. Most recently, the Vanderpump Rules cast member took to social media to show fans how she and Ocean cool off on a hot day and addressed why it’s rare to see photos of them together.
Lala Kent shares why she never gets “pictures” with Ocean
On July 6, Lala shared an Instagram carousel of her and Ocean’s fun-filled day. The mother-daughter duo seemed to be enjoying themselves as they took a refreshing dip in a pool. One photo showed Lala holding Ocean while smiling and gazing into each other’s eyes.
“I’m usually the one taking pictures of everyone else with O, and I just get selfies of the two of us,” Lala captioned the post. She went on to shout out one of her friends for capturing the beautiful moment she shared with her daughter, saying, “Thank you for taking these [Landon Creer].”
And judging by the precious photos, Ocean thoroughly enjoyed the water playdate with her as Lala gave a sneak peek of her little girl taking a nap after drying off.
Lala Kent and Ocean’s Newport Beach Playdate
A few weeks before their epic pool day, Lala took Ocean to a beach “where [she] used to play at her age.” The Give Them Lala entrepreneur documented their beachside hangout on her social page, sharing several photos of Ocean playing in sand, eating ice cream, and chasing after a California gull.
“Newport holds a special place in my heart,” Lala wrote in her Instagram post. “My dad would have us set up on this beach at 7 am [and] we’d stay until the sun went down. Ocean is making him proud. A beach bum just like her Poppy.”
Lala Kent reflects on motherhood
No doubt Lala loves being a mom, and in honor of Mother’s Day, she took the time to express just how much the role means to her. In a May 14 Instagram post, Lala shared a family photo with her mother, brother, and daughter Ocean, along with a heartfelt message: “Thank you for bringing me into this world, mama.”
She continued, “Thank you for making me a mama, Ocean. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone taking on the role of a ‘mom.’ I see you. It’s not easy, but we got this handled. Today belongs to us.”
