Kim Zolciak-Biermann Says She "LOST It" Over Her Son Kash's Latest Milestone
The #DontBeTardy matriarch is definitely not ready for her little boy to grow up.
It's back-to-school time in the Biermann household, and this year is a special one. Kash Biermann started his first day of kindergarten Monday, his mom, Kim Zolciak-Biermann shared on Instagram.
Kash seemed totally fine to be moving on in school, according to Kim, but that was definitely not the case for his mama. "1st day of Kindergarten @kashbiermann did great getting out of the car...and as soon as he did I LOST it. My hubby and @arianabiermann were so sweet talking me down! Kj started 1st grade Thursday of last week (and I'm surprised he isn't president of his school yet) lol but my nugget Kash is a bit more sensitive and shy. There is something about boys that just gets me," Kim shared on Instagram. "THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments through all my tears last night I didn't feel as crazy knowing so many of you are going through the same."
One day into the new school year, and Kash is already hitting a major milestone. The Don't Be Tardy son celebrated turning 5 years old on Tuesday. Kim commemorated the occasion with the sweetest of posts on Instagram. "Happy 5th Birthday to my sweet @kashbiermann no words to describe how much joy, happiness and excitement you have brought to our family. We love you so very much (a lot for me to handle 1st day of kindergarten yesterday & today his birthday) my animal loving, heart of gold, smart, sweet little angel," Kim gushed. "I'm forever grateful you chose me to be your mommy!! You are in for an INCREDIBLE day and some BIG surprises!!"
That "incredible day" and "big surprises" included the Biermann abode looking like a perfect hangout for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kim revealed on Snapchat. "I'm like a lunatic about birthdays. I just, I grew up celebrating them and going big with them, and so I do the same with our kiddos," Kim said in one video of husband Kroy Biermann carrying a bunch of balloons to the car. "Kroy thinks I'm a little nuts, but he loves it, too."
"What Kash will see first thing in the morning," Kim captioned a pic of her son's birthday decorations on Snapchat.
Kash also got to celebrate his big day at school.
The Biermanns definitely deserve to celebrate after what has been a difficult year for Kash and the whole family. The 5-year-old was rushed to the hospital to be treated for injuries from a dog bite in April. But it didn't take long for Kash to recover and resume his usual activities of celebrating his parents' vow renewal and snuggling with pups. Kash also underwent another surgery, along with his sister Brielle Biermann, earlier this month.
