Teri Maloney & Katie Maloney’s Brother Speak Out After Confrontation with Raquel Leviss
Katie herself also weighed in on the heated conversation during WWHL.
Katie Maloney’s mom, Teri Maloney — whom Andy Cohen dubbed “the voice of reason on Vanderpump Rules” — made her second Season 10 cameo on May 10’s Episode 14, and though she once again found herself discussing the Tom Schwartz drama with Raquel Leviss, this conversation was admittedly tenser.
Why? Because their first chat took place before Schwartz and Raquel made out.
As such, Teri asked Raquel on Episode 14, “When we had dinner, did my conversation to you mean anything?”
Raquel scoffed at the question before replying, “Oh my god,” in an annoyed manner, and naturally, Katie became enraged. “No, don’t say ‘Oh [my] God.’ That’s my mom,” Katie said. “Treat her with some f-cking respect.”
Fast-forward to the subsequent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, during which Andy admitted to Katie he was “stunned” by the interaction.
Agreeing, a still-upset Katie added, “You don’t talk to my mom that way. You don’t roll your eyes at my mom.”
Katie’s brother, Joey, also spoke up on Teri’s behalf, tweeting in part, “You act tough and talk to my mom and my sister like that when you are on camera but you would never dare do that when your ego wasn’t being boosted.”
Teri thanked her son for the support and went on to do the same after Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute tweeted, “I actually can’t digest tonight’s episode and am texting with Katie’s mom Teri as we speak. How dare anyone disrespect the queens!”
Responded Teri, “Love you [Kristen].”
Back on WWHL, Katie addressed the other conversation Teri had on the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules: the one with Schwartz and Schwartz alone.
“I know my mom really wanted to have that conversation with him ever since she texted him after the kiss in Mexico weeks before and he never texted her back,” Katie explained. “She really wanted to have a conversation with him, so, I think it went well. But it always goes well, and then two seconds later, it’s just 180 again.”
Regardless, she’s not holding a grudge against her ex-husband. Andy asked if the two could “ever recover” and repair their friendship, and Katie replied, “I would hope so, but he’s really gotta learn just respect. Just in a friendship you need to have respect, and he just fails time and time again.”
