Kate Chastain Shares What a Day Is Like for Her and Baby Sullivan (PICS)
The Below Deck alum shared a look inside an eventful day with her son, Sullivan Cay.
Since the birth of her son, Sullivan Cay, Kate Chastain has been serving up endless heartwarming snaps of the little guy, which we can’t get enough of. Throughout all her lovely updates, Kate has also been candid about the ups and downs of caring for her newborn.

Most recently, the Below Deck alum took to social media to share a selfie with her sweet boy, who seemed to have thrown a fussy fit moments before posing for the camera. “I’ve purchased [four] different baby carriers. He hates all of them,” Kate wrote on her Instagram Story, which showed her holding her son in one arm.
Judging by Kate’s facial expression, the former chief stew appeared bummed that she couldn’t use at least one of the baby carriers she bought. However, Sullivan seemed to be enjoying his time in his mama’s arms.
Moments later, Kate snapped another cute photo of herself and Sullivan. He was sleeping peacefully on her chest while they enjoyed some much-needed downtime, and one of them was even “dreaming of having a martini.” Any guesses as to who that might be? Well, that would have to be Kate, of course!
Even though Kate couldn’t unwind with a drink, she found comfort in listening to Andy Cohen’s audiobook The Daddy Diaries. She shared a screenshot of herself listening to it on her Stories and expressed sadness about reaching the end of it. Kate went on to praise the book for being entertaining and helping her get “through days of baby rocking.”
Baby Sullivan already has a “best friend”
The love is like no other in Kate’s home. Not only is Sullivan showered with attention from his mama bear, but he’s been feeling the love from a certain furry friend.
On May 20, Kate posted a cute photo of her precious son nestled in a lounger pillow as her beloved dog — a Havanese named Halo — rested his head next to the infant. “Best Friends,” the happy mother wrote on her Instagram Story.
Kate celebrates her first weeks of motherhood
May also served as a month of celebration for the former chief stew. In honor of Kate’s first weeks of motherhood, she took to social media to share how she rewarded herself. In a snapshot, Kate showed a glass of white wine and what appeared to be a half-eaten green macaron. “Celebrating successful naps these days,” she captioned the photo.
