Gina Kirschenheiter's Ex-Husband Matt to Appear in RHOC Season 15

We've heard a lot about Gina Kirschenheiter's ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, on The Real Housewives of Orange County ever since she joined the show in Season 13. However, we've never actually seen Matt appear on our TV screens.

But all of that is about to change in the upcoming Season 15 of RHOC, which premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 9/8c. Matt will appear in the new season, and you can see a brief glimpse of him in the above trailer.

The new season of RHOC will document Gina and Matt's relationship following their divorce in 2019. "Trying her best to co-parent, Gina celebrates her daughter’s birthday and invites her ex-husband and his new girlfriend," a press release for Season 15 stated. "Meanwhile, she is faced to make a tough decision regarding her ex-husband that could change the dynamic of her family."

Gina appears to get emotional while talking to Shannon Storms Beador about Matt in the trailer. "I invited Matt over," Gina says while getting choked up. "And I'm gonna put a smile on my face."

When Gina first joined RHOC in Season 13, she and Matt were still married, although he had been living in an apartment in Los Angeles on weekdays because it was more conveniently located for his job. However, Gina announced prior to the RHOC Season 13 premiere that she had filed for divorce from Matt. Gina and Matt remained on good terms and even still went on family outings together with their three children — son Nicholas, 8, daughter Sienna, 6, and son Luca, 5 — amid their split.

Gina revealed in Season 14 of RHOC that Matt had been unfaithful during their marriage. As the two continued to co-parent and work on their relationship, they even considered reconciling. But after an incident after filming on Season 14 ended, Gina and Matt ultimately decided to move forward with their divorce, which was finalized last year.

Gina confirmed that she had begun a new relationship with Travis Mullen last fall. The two moved in together, along with their combined six kids, after six months of dating, which will also be featured in the upcoming season of RHOC.
