Gina Kirschenheiter’s Brunette Hair Transformation Is So Fun (VIDEO)
The Real Housewives of Orange County blonde mom quite literally showed how much fun she can have with brown hair.
Gina Kirschenheiter was full of tricks and treats during Halloween 2024, when she slightly tricked her Instagram followers into thinking she went brunette. Although this wasn't a permanent change for The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member and current blonde, it was such a treat to see.
Gina and her fellow RHOC cast member (and longtime BFF) Emily Simpson took to their Instagram feeds on Halloween where they jointly posted an Instagram Reel of themselves, dressed as the twins from The Shining. In the video, taken in a hotel, Gina and Emily can be seen crawling around a hotel hallway, peering out from the elevators, jumping on their hotel bed, and looking super creepy together.
Both housewives dressed-up in matching, frilly, baby blue dresses, with high necklines, peter pan collars, and pink sashes. They further accessorized the super creepy look with white knee-high socks. But the most exciting part of this costume was Gina's chocolate brown wig, which she wore over her blonde hair, to match Emily's current, rich brown hue.
Although Gina's blonde hair can be seen peeking out from underneath the wig throughout the video, it's a pretty convincing look for the most part. The comments were filled with people loving the look, the brown hair color, and yes, the blonde hair peeking out from the wig.
Gina took to the comments of the post, where she left some pretty cheeky messages to her Instagram followers. "Dead. Well I'm glad we broke our boring streak," she wrote.
"You're welcome," she added.

But this isn't the first time that Gina has sported a darker, brunette hue on her hair. The mom of three has been brunette before, even though she's usually rocking the blonde hue including more recently. In March 2019, Gina took to Instagram, where she posted a photo from when she graduated college, as a brunette.
In the photo dated back to 2006, Gina can be seen in her graduation regalia, with a black graduation cap sitting on top of her warm brown hair. The current real estate agent had her hair in a stylish chop for the time, complete with some serious side bangs and a side part.
"[Throwback Thursday] to my college graduation," she wrote in the caption of the post.
What's next for Gina Kirschenheiter's hair?
Although Gina has not expressed her wishes to go brunette again, there is a chance she might make a slightly dramatic change to her look. Gina took to social media in late August, where she asked her Instagram followers to help her decide if she should get bangs.
"I've been seeing a lot of bangs lately," she said in the video, posted to her Instagram feed. "A lot of bangs on the Instagram and TikToks and I'm just like, 'Am I gonna have to get bangs?!' Because I really feel like that's just not in my best interest, you know? And we all know I'm not going to survive another bad hair blunder."
Although her Instagram followers were just a little split on the idea of bangs, Gina hasn't made any serious changes, yet. This could be because she told The Daily Dish in 2022 that she is very happy with her look at the moment.
"I just really feel like right now, I'm more myself and more comfortable in my own skin than I ever have before, which is a really nice feeling," she said.
