Sutton Offers an Update on Where She Stands with Dorit Today: "Can't Get a Hint"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members might not be in the best place going into Season 14.
Sutton Stracke's friendship with Dorit Kemsley is still on the rocks ahead of the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14. Ever since Sutton told Dorit to "let the mouse go" in the midst of a fight during RHOBH Season 10, Sutton admitted that things have not been right between them since.
In a recent interview, Sutton said that she was unsure if things have ever been OK between her and Dorit. "Have I ever been good with Dorit?" she said during an interview with MTV. "I said 'let the mouse go' to that woman."
"You know, I don't [think] she ever let the mouse go...it's been in her teeth for five years now," she continued. "Let the mouse go! The lady can't get a hint."
Why did Sutton Stracke tell Dorit Kemsley to "let the mouse go"?
Sutton first appeared as a friend to the RHOBH cast in Season 10, which is when she said this famous phrase. On the way into an event during Season 10, Episode 5, Sutton had expressed that she was nervous about possibly seeing a mutual friend, whom she had a falling out with, at the event. "I'm going to flip out," Sutton told Dorit in privacy.
Later in the episode, during dinner, Dorit called Sutton out for this comment. But, Sutton did not appreciate her bringing this up and immediately wanted her to let it go. "You're not being nice," Sutton told Dorit with tears in her eyes. However, Dorit kept bringing it up.
"Alright, you've had your fun," Sutton told Dorit during the episode. "Let the mouse go. Let the mouse go. You've had your fun, let it go."
Sutton Stracke teases what's to come from RHOBH Season 14
In the trailer for RHOBH Season 14 (and the video above), Sutton made a big declaration about friendship in front of her fellow cast members (including Dorit). "Friendships are not perfect," Sutton said in the trailer, having each cast member place their hands in a tied ribbon. "There are many ups and downs, twists and turns."
"I really hope this ribbon does what Sutton is intending for it to do," Dorit said of the ribbon-tying ritual. "If not, I can use the ribbon to strangle one of these ladies."
In an Oct. 27 interview with Us Weekly, Sutton did not provide too much intel on what this season has in store for her and Dorit. But, she did hint at what is to come from her and fellow RHOBH cast member, Kyle Richards. "I think that there was some tough love from me with Kyle, but the word love is involved with that," she explained.
"I think that there are lots of explosive arguments that we are going to see, but then we're also going to see a lot of fun," she concluded. "It balances."
Viewers can see that balance play out when RHOBH Season 14 premieres on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
